Colourful, durable Scratch Back Render for all property types
One of the affordable decorative render finishes we can provide at GK Rend is scratch rendering. This is a rendering technique used on new walls and normally used with coloured cement to create a rendered finish that gives a commercial property or home a clean modern look. This weather proof cover for exterior walls comes in a variety of colours. See our K Rend and Weber colour options.

Scratch back rendering
The process of scratch back rendering involves coating a wall with two coats. The first coating is called a scratch coat. This is allowed to dry and then lightly scratched or scored with a specialist tool called a plasterers scarifier before the second or final coat is applied.
The second coat is thicker than the first, providing greater depth for the scratching tool. It is flattened before being given a final scratch with a nail float resulting in a textured finish.
Scratch render incorporates silicone technology so it has a high degree of water repellency. It has a choice of over 40 colours so doesn’t need to be painted and is very easily maintained.
Take a look at the K Rend and Weber colour charts for the choices on offer. Or why not get in touch to talk to us about the colour you are looking to apply to your external walls.
